♥Frillytime #1!♥ - Dream Dresses ლ(╹◡╹ლ)

Alright, so perhaps this isn't the most original idea for a blog post! (◕‿-) But everybody needs to start somewhere, and I think dream dresses are a good start to introducing a new category to Petticats! (´ω｀) After much soul-searching and thinking (mostly on Nat's part!) we decided to file our lolita posts under the heading "Frillytime"! (◕‿◕✿)

Our first "Frillytime" post is about dream dresses! Dream dresses in lolita refer to dresses you would do absolutely anything to get your hands on, whether that be through murder or any other means! ♥ (Okay, usually lolitas do not resort to murder in order to acquire their dream dresses. But I'm sure a lot of them have thought about it! (≧ω≦) ) Lots of lolitas manage to get their hands on their dream dresses! But a lot of them also don't, for many reasons: some simply cannot afford it, some dream dresses are incredibly rare, and some just haven't been seen in absolute ages! (╥_╥) 

(｡◕‿◕｡)Dress #1 - Krad Lanrete's Phantom of the Opera OP in White!(｡◕‿◕｡)

As we've mentioned a few times before, both of us are musical theatre students! In the last post, I mentioned it being the first time we'd ever been to London without a clear objective like seeing a show! Haz desperately wants to wear this OP to see Phantom! I asked Haz to summarize why she wanted this print and she said: "Musicals! Cute! . . . It reminds me of Christine's wedding dress, like a fairytale princess dress . . . Y'know?" Thank you, Haz. Very concise. (∩▂∩)

(｡◕‿◕｡)Dress #2 - Angelic Pretty's Cat's Tea Party JSK!(｡◕‿◕｡)

Ah yes, the quintessential "Dream Dress". (◕‿◕✿) Chances are, if you've been involved with lolita fashion for any period of time, you've seen this dress: Cat's Tea Party by Angelic Pretty. This is a dream dress for both of us - unfortunately, it goes for absolutely ridiculously high prices whenever up for sale and is rare to boot! Both of us love cats and cute pink things so it makes perfect sense that this would be a dress we would both murder for. (✿◠‿◠)

(｡◕‿◕｡)Dress #3 - Baby The Stars Shine Bright's "The Secret Garden - The Rose Has A Secret Scent" Elise JSK!(｡◕‿◕｡)

This is another of Haz's dream dresses - The Secret Garden is one of her favourite books and one of her favourite things to do is dress in things that remind her of her favourite literary works and heroines. I asked her summarize her interest in this dress and she made a series of unintelligible noises that ended with "It's just so PRETTY!" (︶ω︶)

(｡◕‿◕｡)Dress #4 - Baby The Stars Shine Bright's Marie Antoinette OP (In Blue)!(｡◕‿◕｡)

This is Nat's dream dress! (｡♥‿♥｡) This was one of the first ever dresses I saw worn by a lolita, and I thought that it was so elegant and beautiful! I loved the sleeves so much, and the colour and the layers of ruffles and basically everything about it! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ I am determined I'm going to own it one day! 

There are still so many dresses both of us would love to own, but I'm going to stop there before I turn into a gushing mess! (=゜ω゜=)

☆☆☆Haz & Nat☆☆☆

♥Kawaii London Haul!♥ ✿Artbox, Paperchase and Chinatown!✿ (◕‿◕✿)

During our college half term holidays we spent a day wandering around London looking for cute things to do and see! ✿ Now, we spend quite a lot of time in London anyway, but usually we're there for conventions or meetups or (most often!) to see a show! (◕‿-) This was one of the first times we were free to explore London to our leisure!(｡♥‿♥｡)

The first place we went was Chinatown! Chinatown is basically split up into lots of different shops, and there's also a big place a little like a market where lots of different sellers sell lots of different things!
(｡◕‿◕｡) There was a store selling alpacas and squishies, but they were expensive so we didn't buy any even though we kind of regret it! (Haz really wanted a Jumbo Toast squishy (╥_╥)!)

We didn't really get very much, however we did pick up some cute post-it notes and some deco tapes for packages and our projects at college! (✿◠‿◠)

These deco-tapes were 3 for £1! We got a piano one (for college work!), a penguin one (because Nat collects them!) and a cute little girl with a camera!♥

After we went to China Town, we got a little lost looking for a cute place to eat and ended up circling around Covent Garden for a while. (≧ω≦) But eventually, we found somewhere and we had some crepes and macaroons! Haz had some hot chocolate that she said just tasted like "pure chocolate" and Nat had a yummy banana and strawberry smoothie! (︶ω︶) 

(｡♥‿♥｡)Yum! 

We then went to go and find Artbox! After our little debacle with lunch, we thought it would take us forever to stumble across but thankfully we found it pretty quick!(~￣▽￣)~ We bought a lot of things from there, so I'll let the pictures and descriptions speak for themselves! 

The MILK postcard is from Artbox! The others are all from Paperchase, because we like to include them when we send letters and packages and things! (◕‿-)

Cute badges also from Artbox! I think they were 80p each or 3 for £1! Nat really likes creepy cute style and thought the eyeball pin might come in useful! ♥

Memo paper for writing little notes and scrapbooking! Last expo Nat bought Haz some Rilakkuma memo pads and really liked them so got some for Nat's own use! (◕‿-)

Rilakkuma Deco Tape! I don't remember how much this was though! (∩︵∩)

Cute ghosty sticker flakes! I think these were only around £1.20! (｡◕‿◕｡)

Cute penguin letter writing set for penpals and things! (｡◕‿◕｡)

We're both really bad about collecting humongous amounts of stickers! Two of these (the cats and the letter animals) are from Paperchase, but the spooky pals and the Alice In Wonderland stickers are from Artbox! (｡◕‿◕｡) The spooky pals are really squishy and fun to press! (｡♥‿♥｡) 

We then tried to find Hamley's because Nat had never been there before and had a little bit more of a "getting lost" crisis, but we got there! Nat collects Monster High and Ever After High dolls and was really disappointed with the selection (and more disappointed with how much more expensive they are there than in local stores! (╯︵╰,) ) and Haz collects La La Loopsy dolls and felt the same way! In the station we paid a final visit to Paperchase and finished our cute exploring day! (◕‿◕✿)

Cute postcards to put in letters! (≧◡≦)

The pig was part of a late Valentines day present for Haz and the lion's name is Tufts! We got a rhino and named him Goliath but I didn't take a picture of him! (╯ಊ╰)

These are part of the "Late Valentines Day Presents" Nat got for Haz! A little postcard, some stickers and Scout the Pig! For her real Valentines Day present Nat got her some La La Loopsies and some other cute stuff too! (◕‿◕✿)

That's all for now! Altogether we got some really great deals and we're both so happy with everything we got! ✿ Lots of exciting things are coming up in our lives so hopefully there'll be a lot of new and exciting content to post on Petticats! ♥
